St. John's Childcare

The primary purpose of SJCCC and Clubhouse is to provide a safe, secure environment for children. The activities are of an educational and recreational nature and involve aspects of social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.

St. John’s Child Care Center and St. John’s Clubhouse aim to provide a warm and loving atmosphere that nurtures the child’s physical and emotional well being, social and intellectual development and individual needs. We are dedicated to the concept that each child has a unique pattern of learning. Children need to learn about themselves and others through interaction in social groups.
The staff serves as a model for positive, effective communication. They aide the children in acquiring inner control and guide them in identifying and expressing their relationships with other children and adults. The staff aims to sustain and enhance the child’s feelings of personal worth that begins and is continued in the home.
Planned within the framework of philosophy and purpose, the curriculum includes sharing and conversation time, stories, songs and finger plays, creative art and craft activities, games and large muscle activities, field trips throughout the community, food preparation and cooking activities, science and nature activities, exposure to shapes, colors, numbers and letters, and the celebration of birthdays and holidays.
